Though her performance was the absolute highlight, her full production wouldn’t have been complete without the three stunning outfits she wore, all of which were custom Atelier Versace in collaboration with Swarovski.“Swarovski has always been top of mind for any Jennifer Lopez performance,” Jennifer Lopez’s stylist and long-time collaborator of Swarovski, RobZangardi, explained in a press release. “For this year’s Super Bowl, we are extremely excited to collaborate once again.”

Lopez first took the stage to perform her iconic hit “Jenny From The Block” atop a pole reminiscent of the Empire State Building —a nod to her hometown of NYC —in a black leather biker outfit covered in gold studs and Swarovski crystals and a pink draped maxi skirt, which she tore off after completing her opening song. The tear-off revealed black thigh-high boots and a–less chaps to complete the full biker look. According to a statement from her styling team, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, this first outfit was inspired by a Marlon Brando photo shoot in Vogue from 1991.

Haenn also noted on Instagram that the jacket is “encrusted with 600 gold studs with custom Medusa heads around the shoulder. [The] moto pants [are] encrusted with 500 gold studs, all individually placed.”

Next up was a full-length catsuit that mixed nude illusion mesh with silver leather, sequins, and Swarovski crystals. The “racer-front” neckline emphasized her strong shoulders as she showed off her pole dancing moves a lá her character Ramona from Hustlers. Lopez’s dancers lifted her above their heads as she sang memorable hits like “Waiting For Tonight” and “On The Floor.”

After her daughter Emmetook the stage to sing a slowed-down version of “Let’s Get Loud” and a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s anthemic “Born In The U.S.A.,” Lopez returnedin a silver fringed salsa bodysuit covered in a feathered cape. It was a statement piece that reflected both the Puerto Rican and the American flags on either side.

In an exclusive statement toBillboard, a representative from Rob andMariel’steam (collectively known as R&M) noted that “the flag had over 40,000 individually sewn feathers [on it]. Each star on the American side had 40 Swarovski crystals in it, and the Puerto Rican [star] had over 2,000.”

For Lopez’s voluminous waves, her hairstylist Chris Appleton first curled her hair with a one-inch iron to build a strong foundation, then brushed out the curls and re-curled with a two-inch iron. He used his favorite Color Wow Dream Coat spray to ensure that her hair would stand up in the Miami humidity, and set her hair in place with a cool shot from the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer.

To achieve a bronzy glow that mimics Miami sun, makeup artist Scott Barnes partnered with Marc Jacobs Beauty for most of Lopez’s makeup. Some hero products from the finished look included the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer to make her eyes pop, the Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan in Tantalize to warm up her cheekbones and forehead, and the Scott Barnes Original Body Bling all over her body to achieve that signature J.Lo glow.

And finally, celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik used Swarovski crystals to create a shattered glass design on Lopez’s performance press-on nails. In a press release, Bachik said of the look:“We used Swarovski crystals, in various shapes, and applied them sporadically over the top like fractured glass. We finished with white striping in between the crystals to set it off.”
