Why do I keep getting charged for prime? ›

Unknown Charges on Prime Video

An Amazon Prime membership or Prime Video subscription was renewed. For more information, go to Account & Settings. A Prime Video Channel subscription was renewed. An order has been placed by a child, spouse, friend, or coworker with access to your card number.

Prime Video Channels do not form a part of your Prime subscription. They are additional, paid subscriptions that allow you to add the content you want from third-party premium networks and other streaming entertainment channels.

Go online and try searching the merchant name exactly how it's recorded in your statement to see if you can identify who they are. This can help if the merchant name is abbreviated or if they're using the name of their parent company.
